Any type of roof can last a lifetime if it’s properly maintained. Especially when your home is in the area which is prone to build up mold and mildew, a regular cleaning is highly recommended. Having a well-maintained roof can enhance your home’s appearance, and improve its resale value. Isn’t that amazing?

Maintenance is better than cure. Having a regular check up of your roof will keep you from spending on more expensive repairs later on. Another thing: study the type of climate your area has. Knowing that will allow you to find the material that best suits the local climate. Sometimes, roofs easily get dilapidated because the wrong material has been used. Being informed about this will certainly make your roofing sturdier in the long run.

I agree that when you clean your roof regularly, it would be able to go beyond its lifespan. I mean, if you do this, mold or mildew won't be able to thrive, and the damage to your roof can be mitigated to the extent that it wouldn't require replacing until way beyond its years. It would indeed be in your best interests to have your roof maintained regularly.

“Increase roof life!” That’s essentially the reason why a homeowner should, as much as possible, do regular maintenance of his/her roof. A simple removal of debris and leaves could help prevent worse damage on roofs.

Cleaning your roof regularly is definitely the best way to ensure a longer lifespan! “An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure,” after all, as the saying goes. A regular cleaning of the roof will keep leaves and other natural debris from clogging the downspouts, and will therefore prevent water from entering the home or building. It will also make sure that the color of the roof sheets or shingles stays the same way for much longer.

Well, yeah, I think what matters most is the health of your family. Cleaning the gutters and the roof can eventually protect the health of your loved ones. Take note that a leaky roof can allow moisture to seep in your house, and moisture is the main reason of mold growth, which in turn, may cause allergic reactions and other respiratory illnesses from breathing in mold spores.

Preventive maintenance and regular cleaning will surely prolong the lifespan of your roof. The roof is amongst the distinguishing parts of the house, plus it is our first line of defense to all weather conditions, so we must never miss a chance to keep it in good condition. Take care of your roof and save yourself from costly repairs or replacements, as well as untimely roof problems.

The first precautionary measure a homeowner can do to sustain the lifespan of his roof is to it regularly. This is only a relatively simple process, but of course, anyone should take safety measures to be safe. Remember: the roof is one of the house’s main foundations. So, it is only important to take care of it on a regular basis.

Cleaning can stop the damage that roof staining organisms are doing to your roof. These organisms, specifically algae, lichens, and moss are feeding off the organic material in your shingles. In other words, your shingles are their food source. The longer they are allowed to stay and feast off your shingles, the more damage they will cause.
